Brooke, Leslie L. The Story of the Three Little Pigs. London & New York, Frederick Warne &
Co., 1904. Print.
The above picture is an illustration from British Leslie L. Brooke's 1904 publication of The Story of the Three Little Pigs. Because of the fact that this book came out so soon after the more famous representations, there's very little variance. But on the other hand, this leads to the theme being closer to the original. All of these remixes maintain the same theme, and this one is no exception. Due to this pig's lack of a proactive mindset, his house was easily blown down by the big, bad wolf that is looking to eat the three little pigs. If this pig had the determination and forward thinking that the third and final pig had in building a brick house, this wouldn't have happened to his house and he would've been safe from the wolf.
